This is my piece on spectacle, made up by various video phone clips from several people it is suppose to show the spectacle of youth especially with the growing use of mobile phones to document daily events as well the sharing of popular videos from different sources.
Clearly, this did not work and I myself do not like it. I decided to leave the original sound and tried to keep everything including the frames to the original as rotating them seemed to make it more pixalated. I had several problems with the sound as some sounds are missing. I tried using music over the video however I was told it looked more like a music video which was not what I wanted, I may have encountered copyright issues and it did not work. I also tried using royalty free natural sound over the video but that did not work either hence deciding to use the original sound or reducing the audio level as it was higher before.
Although this has been a complete disaster, I realised that I should carried out an extensive research like I did for my other two artefacts, think/plan how to resolve problems that I encountered with some of the videos and given myself more time to collect more videos from the students which could have made a significant difference to my artefact. In addition to this, if I was to use mobile phone clips again, I would definitely consider the sound, type of clip and quality of the images.
